My X505 is japan CP model, without wireless card and USB mouse, but got 1.1G and carbon fiber. Personally, I do not care about the USB mouse, because I do not habe memory stick and I hate the cord with a mouse. I did want the wireless card, but it was not included in CP package. I used to use the Belkin 802.11 b/g card (54Mbps), it worked fine, but stick out from my PC card slot.

When I saw the PCWA-C800s (108 Mbps) on Ubid.com, I bought it at once at $56.00. And received it today. So far, everything worked fine. I got pretty strong signals with this C800S card, much better than the Belkin card. But I do not have the 802.11a network, I can only use the 802.11b/g function. But it is very easy to switch between these 2 networks, or use them both if you have. The utility is good too, you can turn off your card by right click in the system tray. My only complain is the color. PCWA-C800S is white, I guess I will paint it to black someday, maybe this weekend. :D :D

Ye, I got one of those too for my GRX notebook. I liked the design of it that is I did not have to take it out every time I had to put my laptop into the case, because it does not stick out. Thankfully my X505 came with the same card only in black (PCWA-C800S/B), you could have ordered that card from Sony parts but it would cost you a little bit over a $100.

The card was painted black last night.  I just used the paint which I once used to remove the scratch on my black car. (I guess I should use the spray paint to do this job). But anyway although it was not a great job, it still good enough. Now I have my PCWA-C800S/B, too. :D :D :D LOL

By the way, VAIOfreak, one question for you: are you sure yours with X505 is C800S/B, not C300S/B? Because I once searched the internet, I only found C150S, C300S, C300S/B, C500S, C800S. I thought the only black one was C300S/B. If I knew there was something like C800S/B, probably I would try to find some good deal with the C800S/B.  :D

Yes, I am sure mine is PCWA-C800S/B a/b/g card - VAIO US supplies it only with X505ZP notebooks and you won’t be able to find it elsewhere but Sony Parts Center. JP and EU models of X505 came with PCWA-C300S/B

I reallllyyy want the black one but the only one I can find is the white one. I tried Sony Direct but it looks like they don’t carry it either. Wherelse can I look!?!?! Anyone know?

If you are willing to pay the premium (which is not that bad), you can buy the X505 black a/b/g PC Card from Sony Parts, part number A-1052-409-A $144.92. Buy it online or through a rep on the phone.

That is sooooooo expensive! that’s almost triple the price of the white one hahahha!!  :(  Damn ... I wish I were rich.
