Hi, i own a T150, slight problem, i dunno what happend but my Hkey utility has somewhat removed itself from startup, dis-enabling me to use the brightness and volume control buttons on the laptop.

Yes yes i know, put them back, i have and they are back now, ive rebooted and ran the two utilities, Hot key util and Hot key server, executables again.

No avail, any ideas? Maybe it has to do with a windows service gone wrong? i cant figure it out.

I’ve stopped using this sony software somewhat. Using the latest Intel Extreme Graphics driver this key will consistently cause blue screens, where going thru the interface of the driver in control panel, no problem.  My only conclusion is that it’s the hotkey util doing the deed.

my external keyboard does the volume and mute, and the brightness setting is always on high.

i know this does not help, but i am just tagging onto this thread…
