E320 (cheapest E right now) is $50,000… but i wasn’t completelt serious… just how they, so strategically, put their $450 grand car next to the iPod product they are selling.

Sorry my bad. I was talking 30,000 GBR not $. Anyway BMWs done the same, it was only natural that merc would catch up.

Its like this person with a mclaren F1 would still use an IPOD just like us people. Its become such a style statement for everybody unlike a mclaren F1. Comes with being popular.

no duh actually .. the next generation IPODS are suppose to be wi fi doodads if bbc is to be believed.

Imagine going about london while your ipod in the closet is streaming out music to you car audio player.

Well if you can’t afford the Merc, my new Alpine car stereo can connect to an iPod and display all the tag info on the screen, as well as controlling it…  Shame I don’t like iPods really!!

And just the disclaimer I do have an iPod and love that thing to death, but how could I pass up that one?

Sort of. BMW displays track #, etc…MB decided to wait and theirs displays the name of the song, etc…much much more advanced system. Well worth the wait IMO between the two.
