Today has been a great day. I personally think it should be made a holiday actually. Why? Because Hewlett Packard’s Chair Executive, Carly Fiorina, has finally been shown the door…

For those of you who don’t know Carly Fiorina was the *****... excues me, I mean person who was responsible for a lot of HP’s major screw ups as of late. Her offenses read a mile long, heck here is a sample…
1. She heavily pushed the HP and Compaq merger, which almost all analysts said was a bad idea. In fact most people agree that she used underhanded tactics to get this merger through, mainly to line her own pockets and get her name in the paper.
2. She destroyed HP’s calculator devision (and later restarted it). Just for your information HP made the best calculators out there bar none (my personal opinion of course… am I being just a tad big bias?).
3. She dispanded and later restarted HP’s file server business, which ironically always made them money.
4. She turned HP business computers into just another cheaply made piece of crap. Their old business model computers (Vectra models) were practically bullet proof until she decided they cost too much to make.
5. She layed off thousands of employees in the intrests of saving a few bucks and putting fear into the remaining employees so that they would work much harder (by that I mean working to the point of absolute exhaustion).
6. Quality printers? She decided HP didn’t need to make those anymore and changed their printer devision into another cheap as can be pinter producer.
Oh yes the list goes on… and on… and on. But the good news is that she is gone. Just to show how evil she was was, as soon as this was announced HP’s stock jumped more then 11%. Yes thats a huge jump, especially when they aren’t even releasing a new killer product, that was all just because she was finally leaving.
Also after this announcement the employee moral was given a huge boost (the moral there while she was in charge was just plain non-exsistant). The cube farms were asound in shouts of joy and employees have been singing “ding dong the witch is dead” all day (hence the name of my post).
Yup this is truely a great day, it is the day in which HP can finally get a much needed chance to recover and turn itself into the decent business it once was. Anyhow I thought this was amazing news that just had to be shared with everybody (can you tell I’m just a little overwhelmed with joy?).
