For those who watched the SuperBowl….what or which were your favorite commercial(s)?
Mine had to be the first Ameriquest commercial where the guy’s talking on the phone and walks into a convenience store. Of course, he’s telling his friend on his phone that he’s being robbed for some work he’s having done (right as he’s at the checkout counter) and the old man and woman of the store spray mace at him and beat the crap out of him.
The Mastercard one with all of the food mascots was pretty clever as well. Poor Mr. Clean had to do all the dishes…and the Morton Salt girl was getting fresh with the Pillsbury doughboy. It definitely topped the VISA commercial with all the Marvel superheroes.
The worst were the McDonald’s commercials? Who the heck came up with that campaign? What a waste!
I think this one thread just nailed 3 of the 7 reasons I don’t have a TV. (someone’s going to ask so the other 4 are: sitcoms, “news” programs/channels,“reality” programming and Jerry Bruckheimer)
I seem to remember seeing another commercial with woman on a bucking bronco eating a burger. Since I’ve seen it, it must have been a while ago.
As I heard that the Super Bowl has always been dubbed as ‘the greatest show on earth’, I just wondering anyone here knows or has found a ‘scientific statistics’ about how many people in the world were watching the Super Bowl yesterday? :?:

I can’t answer your question but last year I saw the superbowl and found it to be too slow a game. Like a game which is supposed to be 1 hr gets stretched to 3 hrs. I found baseball to be a much better game.

In the US and Canada , it was down slighly. Marketers don’t tend to care about anyone else.

I don’t know, baseball is pretty much the definition of ‘slow game’, isn’t it?

They need to institute a pitch clock.
nice one….
but seriously…. in football, if I’m not mistaken u need to move 10 yards in 4 chances and mostly at the end of a chance u have delays where the umpire needs to analyze the fouls, if any etc and then say it out so that everyone can hear…thats what I found really slow (please pardon my knowledge of american football since it’s almost nil). Baseball on the other hand even though most of things u mentioned happen with almost every pitch they happen fast…atleast they didn’t bother me. The first time I followed baseball seriously was the yankees vs red sox series and it was fun. I dont mind long games at all (cricket matches, the shortest one which counts as official lasts for approx. 7 hrs…called one day international and other is test match cricket which can last upto 5 days and every day u have 6 hours of play, and like majority of the Indians cricket is my favorite game), but they should have more action and less delays.
