I’m in the process of devising a set of tests to perform in order to ascertain the battery life of the TR’s standard and extended batteries. So please help me out by answering this poll and adding any comments you might have.

I’ve cut the brightness at 4 because I seriously doubt anyone uses less than 4 to watch DVDs. If you do, then just vote 4 anyways. I know that the number can vary depending on where you are (i.e. pitch black room, airplane, bright room) but please just vote your typical or average brightness.

Once I’ve compiled this I will be able to run tests that are meaningful to the people here on this board. If there are two very popular brightness settings then I may run both of those anyways so that people can get a sense how big of a difference it makes.

8 all the way, the vibrant picture is too good to pass up. I use the TR at 3-4 normally, so cranking it up once in a while is okay.

i use 9 when watching dvd. normally i use 7, i don’t know how you guys can go below 7.

9 if plugged in AC, and around 5-6 for battery.

This is a very interesting subject, i’d like to see results on how many more hours you can push playing a dvd with lower brightness settings when on batt…

Thanks for the input. Full brightness seems like it’s going to win. I’ve actually completed the tests for full brightness and may redo the tests at one lower brightness setting just for comparison sake. Of course, I will have to wait a bit as I have to fully recharge the batteries.  :(
