I never had a problem getting to sleep. My problem is waking up at 2 or 3. Lately, I’ve found that it helps if I get up, write my thoughts down, then do light reading.
When I wake up, my head is spinning with thoughts and ideas from the day. These are usually quite silly. Writing them is a way to show there aren’t really so many ideas there. (If that makes any sense.) It also helps me let them go. It’s like I don’t have to worry about remembering them because they are written down.
The only problem is, the process takes 1 - 2 hours. My alarm goes off at 5.
What we really need is less stress.
