I’m thinking of buying an LCD to go with my TR and I was wondering if any of you have any suggestions.  I don’t need it to have a TV input/tuner, although it would be nice, but I want it to be widescreen to match the TR’s 5:3 aspect ratio, which I like.

Dell has a nice widescreen…2005fp.

Which is an awesome monitor and I hope to get another as soon as possible.

The widescreen is nice, but I needed more “pixels” per say for video/photo editing

Indeed. The other thing is, I don’t have 500+ to spend on the best monitor, so I need something cheaper.  I’m thinking a 15-17 inch widescreen would be best.

refresh time (under 20ms is usually good)
Contrast Ratio
and DVI

I wonder when Sony will finally get behind the Wide LCD market :evil: ...
The 23” is awesome but they need something a little smaller for those of us who don’t own an island.  :wink:
Not to meantion that the Apple 23” is $200 and has just as much looks to come with it….

I’m holding out for a Sony 17” widescreen…...my guess is I’ll be holding out a long time…..

I do find it odd they haven’t gone this route yet though as they have a 17” widescreen LCD TV which is very nice.

If I can hold out long enough, I’d love a Bang and Olufsen BV6-22!

The smallest size apple cinema display is 999, sexy, but way out of my range.

Wow, that’s a nice monitor… I might get that one when I have the money.  Fortunately a friend is giving me a 19 inch CRT… prolly 4:3 but it’s just fine until I have the resources to get a better one.

Everything there is gorgeous.  If Sony concentrated on monitors more, they could definetly make monitors that pretty.  I wonder how they look.  Did you hear about them from a site, or what?

That is a great setup if you ask me. I ordered one on 1/31/05 and used a $200 e-coupon so the price wasn’t too bad, though if I hadn’t had the coupon, I probably wouldn’t have ordered it. It sucks though, when I ordered it it said it would be available on Feb 7, but a few days before that the site said out of stock and still does. Who knows when I’ll be getting it, hopefully sometime next week.
