Does anyone use built in BT with SE T610?

I have a Jap. TR2/E with built in BT.
I have now spent almost a week trying to get it to work with my T610 and Mobile Phone Monitor. Have searched this forum as well as Esato, it seems that everyone is using dongles. I would really like to get in touch with somebody who is using the built in bluetooth.
The problem seems to be the SE modem script / driver. No problem to pair the two devices together, but the SE applikation (mobile phone monitor) does not find phone. Have tried the latest modem drivers from SE with no success what so ever. They doesn’t even work at all under XP.

Assuming you just want the phone to be a modem, you don’t actually need a driver. You should be able to go to Wireless Link in the Control Panel. Click on the phone and click Properties. Go to the services tab and check Dial-Up Networking. The phone should appear as a modem in the modems control panel.

Correct, I want to use the phone as a modem, but to be able to use the more advanced features i.e GPRS and / or HSCSD you need a driver.
the Sony Ericsson drivers suck big time. They say “all drivers tested” but no driver signing?? This remind me of the old Ericsson 888 and the problems with RS232 cable, there wasn’t memory enough in the phone to put two different protocols (irDA and RS232) so they supplied a special software to emulate RS232, they actually did irDA over the serial cable.

Is there any bluetooth “middleware” that may help? What is this BlueSpace software? should my Vaio have this software pre installed? cannot find it.

I have tr1 and have bluespace installed, infact i just updated it from the sony website. I also have a bluetooth virtual com port software installed. They are both listed in the add remove programs under control panel. So i guess if you have it it will show up there.
To open bluetooth i double click on the wireless lan icon in the taskbar and then i can select bluetooth from there. It then opens bluespace program.

Unless the phone does something non-standard, you shouldn’t need one. The Bluetooth SIG defines a standard DUN profile for BT devices. I have a T616 (same as T610) and I don’t have any SE software or drivers installed on my computer, but I use GPRS just about every day. Once you set the phone up as a modem, you should be able to make a normal dial-up connectoid in Network Connections with the phone number *99***2# for GPRS (where the 2 is the CID number).

Bluespace NE should have come pre-installed on BT-enabled TRs, but you shouldn’t need it for DUN. It’s mostly to make things like OBEX file exchange easier.

Ok, basically this is an issue with the SE software, its crap. But anyway, open bluespace, pair the phone, then enable the serial port connection.

Now go into control panel and open up mobile phone monitor. One of the tabs gives a list of serial ports, set the one which is shown in bluespace to enable and disable the rest. Click ok and open up another SE app and it should work

Still no circuit switched.

which version of BlueSpace should I use?
I downloaded the file BlueSpace.exe from ftp://ftp.vaio-link.com/pub/Vaio/BlueSpace/
Patches? Updates?
