If you’re curious how the ranking system it basically depends on how many posts you have. Here is the current ranking system (which is subject to change). I think it’s reasonably fair as this is a pretty focused group. There are non-TR related categories as well if you want to discuss other things so it should be fairly easy to get your custom title. As always, unnecessarily posting to increase your rank if frowned upon but I’m pretty lenient about it.

0   - Embryo
5   - Fledgling Traveler
10   - Site Regular
25   - Talented Mobile Companion
50   - Naughty Right Shift Key
75   - Unbending Bamboo
100 - Master of Fn Combos
150 - Ultimate Fn Combo Master
200 - VAIOfabulous!
250 - Mystic Wanderer
300 - Master of Mobility
400 - TR World Junkie
500 - Subnotebook Savant
750 - Evil Genius
800 - Non-Evil Genius
900 - Mobile Maven
1000 - Master of Time, Space and Gadgets
1250 - Ãœber Geek!
1500 - Geek Extraordinaire
2000 - Gadget Connoisseur

When you reach 2000 posts or more, you may apply for a custom title and can simply PM the admin and submit your custom title. Of course, you can choose to use the regular ranks that are automatically given. Please note that there is no guarantee that your custom title will be accepted.

If you think it’s too easy to obtain a custom title and want to see more titles before you reach there then that can be arranged as well. Submissions for ideas are always welcome.
