After receiving this gift for Christmas from mywife, I must say that I have been very impressed with the quality and speed of this little T140 laptop. I have reformated the drive with a clean windows xp install and uckly my restore disk came in the mail today. The restore is so nice since it allows you to chose what applications and drivers you want installed.
I have had the following ultraportables in the past
Sony VAIO PCG-C1VN PictureBook
JVC Interlink X7310
Fujitsu P2040
Fujitsu P2120
Fujitsu P5010D
Now the Sony Vaio T140 which I feel is the best thus far.
One issue I had which might be memory related is that when you switch the memory and graphics to performance mode, I have occasionally got a blue screen under performance mode but never under default.
I wonder if the upgrade memory is the culprit? It is suppose to be compatable and works flawlessly every other time.
I will take it out and see if the problem persist or vanishes.
Anyone else with this issue?
Besides that it is a great machine and the screen is by far the best of the bunch I have had.
