The BASIC levels are all easy but it starts to get a bit tricky half way through the PRO levels especially the final race in a group. Only just started on EXPERT and first group was easy enough. I think its a little on the easy side but not too bad at all really. Light years ahead in portable play.
Ridge Racer has always been that sort of game…nothing new. Either you like that gameplay style or you don’t…they haven’t messed with the formula and there isn’t a way to change the way the car handles.
Just watched my first full length movie off my 512MB DUO PRO which was just under 2 hrs. Pleased to report that from 100% charge it still showed 76% after watching it! That was with volume at nearly max through earplugs & brightness at the middle setting.
Sounds great! I just pre-ordered my PSP last night. G4 TV reported that they heard a rumor that the PSP could be priced as low as $150 USD in the states to compete with the DS…I would love that, but I am more realistic that it will be around $180ish.

My sis just talked to one of the Sony reps (shes the manager for a video game store) and she has confirmed that… $150!!
But… (yup, the “but”) there will only be 1 million sent to America for the first shipment. 3-5 months later then next will come in. So for now, only preorders recieve it. PRE-ORDER TODAY

I wouldn’t worry, they won’t get close to 1 Million pre-orders…
I find $150 a little hard to believe, as the release price in Australia is $349.. convert that to US$ and it’s alot more than $150. I reckon you’ll be looking at about $250 mark. (sony make huge losses for each unit they produce don’t forget - already!)..
Pre-orders in the US will easily reach 1 million… very very quickly.

The DS only sold 1.3 million units in the US…thats pre-orders + christmas sales…
I am #3 on the list at my local store…#1+2 being salesmen. In NJ my friend is #21…and this is at the 3rd or 4th busiest mall in NJ. He pre-ordered today.
I agree that anything over $199 won’t be good… but they’ll still sell… It’s Sony… look at the numbers of people who paid a monster amount just to get a Ps2 when they first came out…
I own a game store in Australia, and I’ve had my PSP unit on display for 3 days and I’ve taken 54 pre-orders… thats huge for us… Guys look at it and fall in love….
I’ve also had the DS on demo, and so far only taken 3 pre-orders (they only get released in Feb for Australia)...
For alot of casual gamers, look and feel really affect their choice and the PSP wins hands down in that department… If the DS has sold 1.3million already then I’m expecting the PSP to double that figure. It just depends on how well sony market the thing, as alot of people here don’t even know it’s coming!...
