However, regarding the screen issue, you need to enable the panel fitting in the BIOS or using the Intel supplied driver software. That will force it to fill up the screen and make the aspect ratio slightly off but it will be full screen.

Hmmm - my version of half life is the budget re-release version. It could well be some sort of compatibility issue with the CD Drive and your disc perhaps?

I’m having a great time with warcraft 3 at the moment - its perfect for this type of machine, all the 3D FPS games are all very nice, but they just don’t feel right when played on a laptop!! I’ve loaded loads of games onto my Tr1MP (purely for research purposes :wink: ), however the only ones remaining are Warcraft, Stronghold Crusader, Uplink and AOE 2!

i’m happily using this machine for music production on the move, with an external USB 2 HD and Tascam US 122 Soundcard - perfect for recording the band without having to carry all the usual paraphanalia!

I used VirtualDrive7.11 on my previous TR1MP & C1MHP (bought for this so I didn’t have to carry the DVD around) and it works great for games. Also supposed to work for unprotected DVD movies aswell but not tried it for that. Not installed on my TR2MP yet.

Menus show in the wrong location of the screen.

Blocky areas sporadically appear during the game.

Solution:

Use the latest Intel® graphics driver to correct the main issue, which prevents the game from running.  Refer to the driver README file for installation instructions as needed.

The following steps can be used to eliminate or minimize the “minimize to the taskbar” issue:

Go to:
Start > Settings > Control Panel > Display > Settings > Advanced > Intel(R) Extreme Graphics > Graphics Properties…
Select the “OpenGL” tab.
Change the “Flipping Policy” to “Blit”.
Intel is aware of the menu issue and blocky areas issue and they will be fixed in a future graphics driver release.

Never managed that on my old TR1 so would imagine same with TR2MP (not used any games on it yet).

i,ve tryed to play but there is a diagnostical software that analyze my tr for the necessary specs and… says that the tr does not have pixel render sofware and that its 1gh needed.
My cuestion is… i know my tr1ap kicks the pentium 3 1gh so how can i cheat on this? i believe this can work but how?

Just bought MVP Baseball 2004, and it runs great on the highest settings..

NeverwinterNights runs great in widescreen. Quake is OK - but you really need a lot of power for it to run very smoothly, and a mouse. Trackpads don’t hack it in games like that.

its probably the video card, but i’m not sure what the program needs. i just got City of Heroes and all the characters are whited out.  would the 3D-Analyze program fix this?

Shadow of Destiny (Shadow of Memories overseas) is a great game. The visuals aren’t cutting edge, but the story is really very good and has multiple endings. You might have also heard of it for the consoles (PS2 and Xbox)

PSO is really fun to play with some friends. (originally on Dreamcast and re-released for the Gamecube and Xbox) I was very happy to discover the creation of (unofficial) server software which let’s you run your own private ‘ship’.

Shadow of Memories was one of my all time favourite games..I just wish they’d bring out ICO for the PC..It’s the only reason I still have a PS2!

Was just wondering about installing Planescape myself as I bought it after playing the Baldur’s Gate & Icewind games but then went onto Neverwinter & KotOR so never played it yet.

Probably the best Black Isle RPG for story, and also the best for gameplay - they really pushed the boat out on this one. Innovations abound, but it’s a shame the resolution is fixed at 640x480, but it maximises ok on the TR .
Never really got into NWN - I think it was best with multiplayer

I have been able to run Battlefield 1942 with and without the Desert Combat mod very well on medium to high settings.  A mouse is a must though!

I’ve been running it on 1024x768, but with boarders down each side, which I belive I have to live with?

Even though they are from the same manufacturers and i can run Max payne,  i cannot get Grand theft Auto Vice city to run.
