hey guys

just found this forum and very nice indeed. especially the desktop modifications. i bought a new tr2c in china. i love it but the whole win xp home is in chinese and just my partner can read it. it will take ages to learn the charcters . thats why i want to change all to xp pro but got all drivers and utilities in chinese. i am searching for the english version of powerpanel etc…

is there a support page or a website where i can download the english drivers and utilities. i already had a look at sony’s website and just got some drivers for the display etc but couldn’t find the utilities.
would be nice if someone could help me out here.

Unfortunately, Sony USA does not provide any support pages for downloading included utilities and they seriously frown upon any persons or sites that provide downloads of such software. You may want to privately contact other TR2 owners for the necessary software or contact Sony to see if they will ship you drivers of a CD/DVD (which I doubt they will do).

Once you do get the drivers you need to know that there are a lot of little tricks that one has to do to successfully install the Sony apps. One of our members has put up his experience on how to get a successful installation. You can find it here .
