[quote author=“Thom”]thanks for your answer, alothough i realized that it didn t fit on the other side. I was just lucky when as i found the right way to put it in on the first thry. The control panels only shows 508 rm is that normal? As i said above i m experciencing problems of rebooting whit this new stick how can i be sure this stick is not corrupted?
I have been doing somes test with my 2 sticks ( the original 256 and the new one) and it s true that my reboot problem dont happen without the new stick  also how can i test the performances of the stick because i don t really see any diferrence between the 256 & the 512 ( i mean when i use them separately
thanks for your help :D
508 sounds normal. The video chipset allocates some of the RAM for itself, so Windows won’t say 512. As for your other problem, I’d go for a few days with just the new stick. If you don’t have problems, put the old stick back in. If you start having the problems with the old stick back in it again, that’s definitely an indication that the original stick of RAM was bad and should be replaced.
