Ok this is weird. Whenever i put the DVD/CD in the drive, the drive gets locked and I have to restart. The drive reads fine(also installs fine if i need it to), and i can see/explore the contents of the cd rom/dvd , but i cannot eject. I tried using the eject option by right clicking on the drive(my computer) but no luck.

I tried a DVD rom first and it got locked. Then i tried using a office XP cd which got locked as well. I could use the cd and veiw the contents, also install from it, but it just wouldnt eject unless i restart.

[quote author=“tifosiv122”][quote author=“writetovarun”]I just switched on the power supply, was on batt before. Any clue ?
Does it work on power supply or same issue?
Erik
Well to finish what tifosiv was probably saying, make sure the A/C is plugged in and your power managment is set to off (at least for a trial basis).
If that doesn’t work… VAIO Recovery Wizard is waiting. (Or a previous restore point)

Yeah, I am thinking it’s linked to power management if he’s having the problem only on battery power…
Yeph that was the problem. As soon as i switched to power supply it worked. Now i have seen the power management tool off. Thanks a bunch all you guys :D :D
