Does the sony TR series come with recovery disks?

Only the TR1s came with actual recovery CDs. Following versions came with a recovery partition and required the owner to make recovery CDs (or DVDs) depending on the model. Once the recovery CDs or DVDs are created, one can refresh their notebook and get rid of the recovery partition entirely (roughly 5GB) to reclaim the space.

One can call Sony to request recovery DVDs for around $20. Some people here have been able to complain loud enough to get them shipped for free but that those are exceptions and not the norm.

That must be for america as I know my TR2 came with recovery DVDs included.  Just thought I’d mention as poster doesn’t say their location :shock:
