you would at least have a second drive for doing dvd->dvd or cd->cd ...and save duckets…

it is basically the same price and myay run off the power from your tr and on the firewire…

you got a good deal on that ... i was wondering about some of the other off brands usb/firewire which i saw on ebay.  some were advertising portability with sim features… like $150; but still for that price id rather have the sony.
