I still feel it is a great effort by OQO. I hope it paves the way for more gadgets like this. If the price ever falls into the PDA range, it could have a market, IMO.

You all made fun of this…I like it…I want to get it….I bought a UX50 to get that kind of power….and here it is….just what I need.
P.S. I also heard it’s coming with Team Fortress 2 along with Duke Nukem Forever.

Exactly, it’s another hybrid project which’ll do one thing-do everything, but poorly. Let’s look at the design flaws
~ it tries to be a desktop relacement, but
)screen size too small, can you honestly run word on that thing
)keyboard easily cramping (save for an external one, more bulk)
)video card-whatever
)price, bahaha 500+, at LEAST
)bulky, compared to some of the more svelte Dells
)etc etc
Good luck. Might be good, but highly unlikely.

Almost positive it’s closer to $2K.

You are right, Erik. If it was $500, I would have pre-ordered one by now. Otherwise, I am in no hurry.

I would purchase one, if they were just a little bit more money than a pda.
it does scare me that sony already killed production on thier u70 and it was only a few months old…
And now I look on ebay and its a flooded market of these….losing value as we speak…
I guess the sony trade up plan wouldn’t be a bad idea after all for these.

Yeah, I am not to found of the pda around. Just, don’t want to use another watered down version of windows on a slower less memory, hd, proccesor type of machine….
These products will never be sensible unless they lower the price. Why would some one buy one of these….
When they could by a sub-note book for the same price….
