Wonder how much. Nice for fixed location monitoring/security. Only prob. for me, beyond price, would be /b.. would degrade a /g network. Hmm.. I suppose one could attach a second wireless access point on the router, use a different channel and support /b that way.

B doesnt slow down a G network like it did when they first came out. I have the Linksys 802.11b Camera in my appartment (it caught the maintanance men doing repairs in my house without telling me!) and it’s on my main network…I can still connect and transfer at 54 with my G products.
My linksys does not do audio, but it does a lot…records, e-mails photos if motion is detected, and is pretty fluid. I like logging in over the net to check and see how my dog is during the day…
I have 3 cameras throughout my house on ‘standby’ waiting to take pics if someone comes in…
SNC-M1 38,850 JPY Japan Yen = 351.568 USD United States Dollars
NC-M1W 59,850 JPY Japan Yen = 541.604 USD United States Dollars
SNC-M3 52,500 JPY Japan Yen = 475.092 USD United States Dollars
SNC-M3W 73,500 JPY Japan Yen = 665.128 USD United States Dollars
At those prices people will get a real security system (camera wise).
My Linksys camera does a lot of those things for under $150…

[quote author=“linc”][quote author=“dbs”]The cameras have motion detection. i was thinking of dedicated motion detectors with infrared beams all over the place like the ones you would see in movies.
Thats hard, my dog has the run of the place, they would always be going off…
