Hello everybody!
I need help with the driver of the ujda755 drive. Nero 6.0 doesn’t recognize it, however each driver for the vaio is correctly installed. What can I do ? use roxio ? does it work with the vaio drive ?
please help me..is there a cd burning sw supplied with the tr2ap3 ? i have made the recovery cd but no program seem to be useful for that.

That’s messed up, my copy of Nero 6 recognized the 755 out of the box.

Make sure you’re using the full version of Nero 6.0.  If you’re using a version that came with some other CD-RW drive, it’s most probably ONLY for that drive and won’t work with any other.  Full versions of Nero 6.0 should work with just about any drive - it works fine with my TR2B.

i having a problem as well with an old copy of nero 5.5 it doesnt want to recognize the drive it shows up as an image writer (as the burner)??  how can i get it ot recognize the trap3 drive?

Your old copy of Nero 5.5 may be tied to a specific brand of drive (as many OEM copies were). You may need to purchase the universal upgrade that makes it work with any drive. I’ve had Nero full since version 4 and it has supported essentially any drive on the market. You most likely have a “branded” version.

No, the current version is 6.0. You can try to contact them to see if there is an old upgrade but they’ll most likely tell you to upgrade to 6 which has a lot of neat new features.

too bad.  i just do not need all the bell and wistles of 6.  i dont feel like shelling out more cash.  why wouldnt sony give us burning software?

Well, it’s pretty obvious they didn’t include it to help lower the price and technically, the system does come with CD burning software…it’s built into Windows XP.

Out of the box, you can burn data CDs and audio CDs from within Windows XP Explorer. Most of the tasks are pretty easy to do. You simply drag and drop files over to the CD drive and Windows XP will start the process for you. If will even automatically convert MP3s to WAVs so that you can make audio CDs. Lastly, there’s even a free plug-in from Microsoft to easily allow you to burn CDs with a built-in slideshow viewer. So, the functionality is there (although not extensive) and it’s not like you can’t burn anything at all.

Are you trying to burn something specific? (i.e. a certain kind of CD format?)

i didnt know you can make audio cds with the internal burning software.  how do you do that?  just drag an mp3 over to the disc and it will ask to convert it to make an audio cd? 

where can i get this pluggin do i need to dl the viewer as well?

Drag 10-12 MP3s to your CD drive and then you will see a balloon pop-up in your task tray that says, “You have files waiting to be written to the CD”. If you click on the balloon it will show you the files and the options. You can alternatively just go and click on your dvd drive to see the same. Next you click to write the files to CD and then the wizard pops-up and you follow the prompts. It will ask you if you want to make an audio CD or a data CD. If you choose data it leaves the files alone and burns them to your CD as mp3s. If you choose Audio then it converts them automatically. It will nag you if there are too many files to fit onto the CD. Pretty cool, no?
