Well, I did my part. His auction already finished, so I pulled the pics on him. I contacted ebay, they will pull the auction and close his account in the next 48 hours…my listing fee will be refunded if it doesnt sell.
jso902 - thanks again
If anyone sees a similar auction, please let me know.

Pretty strange. I’m not a big eBay fan, does that kind of crap happen often?
Me and my sister combined have done about 50 purchases… only one minor incident but the money was refunded to us from eBay… Another we thought we had an incident but it was in fact just that the seller went on an emergency business trip and forgot about the auction for a week… Sent product right after he got his 5 e-mails from us.

Glad jso902 spotted it.
I’ve seen it before, but people aren’t usually stupid enough to grab an item that is so rare with a description that is so unique.

glad to have saved you a few dollars on listing fees. As for that sale, if the other guy was actually able to provide everything you had listed for the asking price, it would’ve beena steal. best of luck on your sale. =]
so when are you going to demand groovy to put an X505 forum for ya HAHHAHA

When/if I get it, I’ll ask for a 505 corner, I guess…we will see.
Yeah, ebay allows you to use their pictures service (for a fee) or you can just link raw HTML to your auctions. Within the HTML you can have links to pictures on the net. Mine are being hosted by my website…
I renamed the dir the pics were in, changed my HTML, and created those fake pics with the names of the original pics so his site has the pics with the messages.
He wasn’t smart enough to pull the pics and host them on his own space…
[quote author=“Mighty Matt”]he also says that the TR is ‘new, sealed in box’ which would then make it difficult to have added the bt, wireless card etc
Oh and it has a 400MHz processor with a 106” screen
LOL, well I was looking at my own auction and noticed ebay does something tricky.
On top, when they spell out the specs it says it has an 11” screen. I went and tried to edit it, when i put 10.6 it changes it to 11 automatically.
Oh well, in the description it says 10.6, so thats good enough….plus anything 5 and over, you round up.
it’s a shame that you have to give up your TR, but if the x505 is what you want, more power to you. it’s gotta be tough making such a decision without actually “holding” the x505. i’m one of the fortunate ones, in that i have a sony style store a couple of miles from my place. i actually went to look at the 505 when i heard about it and personally i have to say that it just didn’t do it for me. i think the biggest problem i had was with the keys, they just didn’t feel comfortable like the TR’s. i would recommend you find a place where you could actually try it out, even if that means driving for a couple of hours.
*on a side note, i think Sony owes me some comission. the last time i went to sony style, their sales ppl were total idiots. i ended up talking with this really hot (this has nothing to do with the story, but a good detail)realtor and ended up selling her a TR. she ended up taking down my phone number, just in case she had a question, and soon 3 or 4 ppl were asking for my number. the manager nearly kicked me out of the store because he thought i was trying to steal business from sony. i told him he should hire some new sales workers because they couldn’t answer one freaking question, and that if they were doing their jobs, i wouldn’t have to.
