Ok. I break down.  I can’t wait to post pics, so I’ll post a link instead.  As I ventured to Bestbuy today I thought I would pick up a mouse.  I like invisfly Targus mouse, one it was silver and matched the TR well.  And 2 I thought it wouldn’t be too expensive.

Well, I found one someone left in a isle.  So, I went over to one of the Bestbuy Employees and asked how much this baby cost.  He checked it with the sku and told me it was $40.

After realizing that I clenched the plastic wrapping it came in and walked through the store.  I couldn’t justfy to pay that much for a RF technology on a mini notebook mouse.

Now I found the section with all the mice for notebooks.  On this shelf was a lot of mice that just didn’t interest me.  If I was going to fork over the cash I needed something that catched my eye.

Neverless in the upper left hand corner alone away from all the other mice.  Stood tall like a stalon before a race.  I took one look at it and knew it was meant to be.

What I was looking at was the Targus Bluetooth® Mini Mouse with Bluetooth® Adapter.  I would have bought this package just for the mouse.  You might think of targus of not making to top notch products like sony. 

But, I tell you looking at a brochre of the new T series they still avertise the wired notebook optical mouse.  Why, I ask. This model does come with BT and so does the S.

Anyway lets just imagine that it says sony on it.  Might as well because I am going to give it five stars after this review.  Now, let me describe to you in detail how beautiful this mouse is. Its silver with a blue grip rubber that wraps around the mouse. 

Aonther assetically pleasing feature on this mouse is the Bluetooth symbol on the mouse.  I would rather have that than sony.  Since I am very happy to have purchase my first Bluetooth product…..

Accented perfectly in the middle is the Blue scroll.  You know why I like this blue grip rubber and scroll, cause it look so dam kewl.  I wanted to stay all silver/white with my TR in the begging. But, after spotting for the first time, I quickly changed my mind.

Ok now for all of you that haven’t did a Blue Tooth internal upgrade or don’t even have a dongle.  Well, you don’[t need these two items because it comes with one.

Honestly, I would rather have sony’s cute little perfect matching dongle with the big blue light and the plastic that says Bluetooth.  But this one was for free.

The usb adapter that came in the package is surprising small.  Not ass small as sony’s but pretty close to dlinks or smaller.  It is a smoke clear blue. 

I don’t mind pluging it on the right side near the mouse, it blends in together with the color.

Software and installation was a breeze,  honestly with all the pro and con reviews with bluetooth I was a little worried.

Well, all worries are gone.  I had it up and running in a matter of minutes.  Oh, one more thing, the mouse is the perfect size and shape.  The shape just is different than other mice.  You have to see it to understand.

Even the bag that comes with it, feels like velvet.  I just saying this is a very high quality item from Targus.  Something I defintely didn’t expect.

I give this 5 stars!!!!!

looks ugly in my opinion and very expensive at $80, more expensive than the macmice. macmice looks nicer and it’s cheaper

i have been looking for BT mouse for quite some time.  i end up bought the logitech mx900/keyboard combo cause of the price ($73 AR for both bluetooth keyboard/mx900). in my opinion, the best looking bluetooth mouse regardless of price is macmice, but if i have to take price into consideration, i would have buy this mouse instead, http://www.macally.com/spec/usb/input_device/mice.html

it’s silver, the color matches the outside case of TR, it’s $50, u can get it less if you look hard enough over the internet (ebay, for example).  reviews are great, the only flaw is no switch, so if u are going mobile with this mouse, you have to take out the battery.

if i have to buy another BT mouse, i will buy macally over macmice.  macmice has a bit edge in styling, but overall, macally has a good price/style combo over macmice.  these are the only mouse i would ever consider, no bluetake, targus, belkin, all those are ugly and expensive (if all price are equal, i will take macmice over everything, but macally is ~30% cheaper, therefore macally is my choice)

Thanks Gameson for your opinion.  I actually considered the macally.  For you and others you might like the design.  But I personaly don’t like the simplisty of the style.  I wanted something to match my TR, but at the same time have some personality.  I have to admit I rather it said Sony on it, because I am a sony whore.

But, I think Targus did a great design on this mouse.  And I wanted to try it out.  And I love it.  So there is no reason to return it.

I am sure there will be others that will enjoy too.  Thanks for your imput.  I know how it feels to see someone spend twice as much on something that you thought wasn’t as half as good as a product that he could have obtained.

Its not the case, I would of easly paid $60 for the mouse alone.  And $20 for the adapter.

Beats paying out of my pocket right now $170 for the BT internal upgrade and still have the labor of installing it.  And thats before I even bought the mouse plus tax

as long as you are happy with it..that’s all it matters.

i agree that buying USB BT adapter with mouse combo is cheaper than BT internal mod, but trust me, over time, u will find that BT internal is much convinient than USB BT adapter cause

1. it’s built in, it doesnt eat up one of your USB port
2. USB adapter sticks out while internal BT doesn’t
3. USB BT adapter usually connects less devices than BT built in (i can’t back this fact as this is just my guess)

in my opinion, BT internal mods will worth the money over time and i can safely say that i m not the only one who say this.  i would suggest that you should do the BT mod, but if u only use BT just for mouse, then it’s not worth the $$.  if u use BT for others such as cell phone, internet connection (with cell phone), belkin GPS, BT keyboard, headset, etc, internal mod is better. but hey, if you feel that USB BT dongle doesn’t bother you and u r fine with just 1 usb port, then u should feel this way regardless of what i say about this and that.

i want to say this on my first post cause targus is only known for the case, but i can’t back up my statement cause i never use their product and i only hear comments from internet, but now i have one supporter…

i personally would prefer the macmice mouse bt or the mcally bt mouse over the targus. that is just my preference. there’s no drachen sarcasm in my previous comment so don’t worry.  :wink:

For what it’s worth the BT parts from Sony were $150 shipped when I got mine. Module, Antenna, Lens

I know your point and I agree.  But, There is nothing besides the mouse that I am using for usb right now.  By the time I might want to hook up more things we might have a better technology for this type of wireless connection.

I don’t want to argue.  I was just really happy with my purchase.  And Erik I am sorry to hear that you have lost money in there products they make.

But, I will tell you guys once more.  This is not the same quality they are known for and I really, really like the mouse. 

I don’t like Targus cases I would never buy one.  I peronally like sony, tumi and brenthaven.

Neverless this is an endless battlle.

we might as well debate about amd and intel or nividia and ati…...

tell you what chris..if you are ever in the LA area..i’ll perform the bt mod for you free of charge. just supply the parts.

BTW this doesn’t make me want to write more reviews.  A review by defintion is To write or give a critical report on.  When GrOOvy gives his reviews or anyone for that reason I don’t think we should critize there views.

Yeah, I am sorry if I got offended.  But, when I write a review and get nothing but negitive fead back from it, when I explaining that it is a good product, doesn’t make much sense to me.

But, I’ll know better now. 

I won’t go on and try to convense you that its a great product anymore.  Personal Preference….. Peace…

Linc.  That would be great.  I live in the L.A. area.  But, I probably won’t do the upgrade for awhile.  I want to see if I have a need or want for BT besides the mouse….
