I totally agree with you linc. You can’t compare a notebook’s screen with a desktop lcd. I am sure most if not all on full brightness will be brigther than the TR.
Does that mean its better. No. Just means that for notebooks they are dimmer to save power consumption so your battery doesn’t die in 15 minutes.
Also xbrite is a very clear looking display and compared to notebooks that haven’t already copied sonys xbrite type of technology look very dim.
After having xbrite I would never go back to the dull screens of other notebooks that haven’t at least tried to copy sony xbrites technology.
