Sony discontinued the MXS series in the US at the end of 2002 I think. The reason was high cost; it was retailing for $2800 plus that display was like $699. :shock: I could not afford it than being a student, but in 2003 I found it being sold on Ubid as a new item and man, was I fighting for it That display was a rarity too that originally was sold with it and luckily I found it on PCMall.com. You may still find it from time to time on Ebay.

Sony stopped selling it on my model PCV-MXS20, in Japan they had 7 generations of it and stopped selling in 2003.
