It’s also very scary as well. I’m glad I use their coiled lock instead that uses a real key to open and not that cylindrical key. Can you say class action lawsuit or huge recall/refund?
Uh oh, mine’s going back to the bike shop! Glad you posted that, there have been a rash of thefts here lately, which why I bought the lock in the first place. :?

Jeeze, every reported stolen bike whose owner can prove he bought the lock. Plus all the scumbags running out to get one before they pull them from the shelves.
[quote author=“nox”]Can anybody recomend a good laptop lock then? After all these recent ‘easy-to-open’ laptop locks, I’m worried.

Try here . I have the first and the third one. The first one is a combination lock…dunno if it has flaws. The second one has an alarm system…if someone severs the cable the alarm sounds. You can also set it to motion sensor so if the unit move for 4 or 8 secs (depending on the setting) the alarm sounds in that case too.

Rahul, are u a TARGUS whore as well as sony whore?
Locks only keep an honest man honest. if someone really wanted your notebook, there is little you can do short of sitting in the bank vualt on top of your notebook. bolt cutters can dismantle most locks/chains and they are very east to come by.
