The newest one doesn’t have the keyboard.  I like the keyboad.

I like the size too.  Only if the could fit an optical dirve on one of these.

Are you playing with me.  I posted the link silly.  I am looking at all the Sony ultra portables tonight that were discontinued.  Its weired with how the picture book was so small.  And then came the TR. And now the T.

I am trying to understand sony’s logic.  Coming up with no awnser. :?:

Look at the times…you hit reply as I was typing…I didn’t see your post until after I submitted.

I remember this now, 3 reasons I didnt like it:

1. Jap. keyboard
2. Useless mouse unless your holding the machine
3. Poor battery. If you need to add extra batteries to get it to 5-8 hours, then its no longer <2lbs machine

The perfect notebook has yet to emerge for me…

I know you stating before you wanted something a little smaller.  And I suggested the JVC.  And you replied something back why u didn’t like that model.

I wish we could build one our selves.  Like desktops.

We could drive down to frys pick up the case we like.  Motherboard/chip ram video card

It is the one thing I hate about these notebooks.  ANd all of electronics.  Them going out of date so quick.

Some companies offer trade up programs, but I am sure they don’t give you much for your trade in.

One of my employees once was raving about Comp Usa trade in policy.  I never looked into though.

I also haven’t found the perfect notebook for me.  The TR is my first.  The thing that bothers me the most is the keyboard. 

Just dosen’t feel right.  I tried other subs and they have better feel.  The keys just kinda suck.  Oh well.

Thats my only complaint.  I wish I could swap it out with some better pitch keys.  At least that.

I played with the p7000 and I liked the feel of the keyboard a lot better.  Didn’t like the look.  But liked the feel.

But, I don’t think I will go to the hastle to upgrade for a keyboard.  Do to the fact it is a subnotbook and I still have a desktop to go to.

I saw your setup with the BT and I can’t justify having such a small machine with a big keyboard in front of it???

I want something smaller…doesnt need to be thinner, just smaller. The JVC doesn’t do 1GB ram and its only 1” or so smaller, thats not enough.

I am considering units that dont have optical drives because honestly, I dont use it as much as I thought I would and now that I have the PVR I dont need my TR as a DVD player (although I have a portable DVD player as well, it just collects dust).

I think you should consider the x505, but it sucks without the xbrite.  I think they left it out, cause it would drain the battery too fast on such a thin machine.

Oh wait you don’t care about thin.  Well, Erik this is something you will probably have to wait for.

My next machine will not be the T series even if the add the BT.  I don’t like the look.  I guess the best bet is to keep my TR.

I wish I had tones of money so I could just by the different models.  I love electronics too much.

I think that the P-series is a nice option.  And wish I considered it when buying my notebook.  But I still probably came out with the same out come.

This was my first notebook and I wanted it to stand out from all the rest.  The TR does it with style.

I never take really anywhere expcept through the rooms of my house….

For a bigger oprtion I do like the “S” but can’t justify getting it.
