Hey guys,
I finally received this keyboard I mentioned awhile in this post. Man, Just from my first impressions, I have not used it yet, and after unpacking it - this keyboard, the mouse and the receiver scream Sony VAIO! The style, design and everything else about it is just superb!
I will try to post some pics later. I still need to post some pics re my other new toy from Sony - LocationFree TV. The latter has been impressing me too and I am using it now to type this message.
Cheers!
is there a chance of getting this in thailand this week? going shopping! note: anyone looking at keyboards—>AVOID the macally ice at all costs! i got one about a year ago because of the look and feel, and one year later the letters on the left side have worn off, the period and > key are inop, and the c and other keys stick. its a mess!

i dont think so. they dont really a lot of sony stuff overthere.
Even for laptop, i was checking TR last time. They only got one model for Windows Home edition with 900 Mhz.

i know - they have more MACs in Bkk then sony. Even in KTM they have the TR5! but pricey. oh well, I need a NICE wireless KEYBOARD and mouse for my TR home entertainment system - what to do?
Sorry guys have not been able to get to the review and pics of it. But I really have enjoyed it so far. The keyboard feels great and it feel like a notebook one only bigger. The key response is also good.
I like the fact that the palm rest is very comfortable and once I am done I can cover the keyboard with it. Looks very cool and sleek on the desk. The keyboard itself like the mouse has and ON/OFF switch to conserve the battery power.
The distance between an attractive receiver and your keyboard/mouse is amazing. Sony really meant it - 32 feet. It is good to use it when you sit on your sofa and want to operate your Media Center PC and your TV.
The touch pad comes in handy when you just surf the net or use it for clicking/dragging files. The only thing about the touchpad is that you have to apply more pressure while using it - it seemed to be not too sensitive to the finger touch like a notebook touchpad.
There is a little LCD on the keyboard that displays the current state of your battery life and functions being used like CAPS Lock, NumLK, etc. The FN keys let you controll your Volume and for the V series PC you can adjust the Brightness of your LCD. And of course the Standby button is handy too.
I really like the looks and especially a nice curvy design of this keyboard. It will definitely match newer notebooks/desktops in black and would be a nice contrast in color if used with TRs.
OK…I guess here is my Mini Review. Pics will follow later. Cheers!
I am not sure if it is suitable with TR3 notebook, it will depend on your taste, but it is compatible with it. I am in the US and not sure if it is available in EU. Please check your SonyStyle store.
gah. now i almost regret (almost) getting the logitech dinovo cordles desktop, but i think i almost like the looks of the dinovo better. i do like the idea of the touchpad though, wish the dinovo had that option.
(and a case for this dinovo would be nice too seeing as to how i port this thing around everywhere, and it’s got scratches on the wrist rest.
my keyboard is almost the same it comes factory with the PCV-V517G and the V520G. The older previous models V100G, 200G, 300G, etc came with one that had no touch pad on the keyboard, im jealous of not having one! Must upgrade to V520G! But its $2600+ :(
Yes, that keyboard and a mouse comes bundled with higher end V series models (VGC-V520G and V620G). I also like that 20’’ X-Brite LCD on V520G - very tempting…..
