At the link above at the bottom of the page on the left hand side, under the heading “members only” you’ll see “making it easy to own a vaio”. You have to sign in and when you do you’ll see they are giving away a free Roomlink Network Media Receiver with the purchase of a TR5AP or TR3AP2 to the first 15 customers only.

2 problems to watch for.

1) The page with the promotion details says the TR3AP2 has a 60 GB hard drive and they have a link to the TR3AP2. Click on the link, and on that page click on “specifications” - the specs page says it has a 40 GB hard drive.

2) Next to the free Roomlink Netork Receiver, you’ll get 200 dollars off the price of either model. Good only until September 12, 2004. oopps! Its expired.

Be careful. I’d be calling Sony Canada to find out what’s going on with the hard drive and the 200 buck savings if you are interested in the deal.

Not sure whats on SonyStyle US, Japan or elsewhere.

The 200 dollar savings coupon is gone, but the hard drive is still a problem.

may be you’ll should try a store like eCost that ships to Canada. You’ll probably save much more if you order from there without any coupons/deals than if you order from sonystyle stores. Their prices are as it is so high and over that you have to pay ST.

I saved around 400 bucks by ordering my TR3AP3 from newegg ($2845) rather than sonystyle (2999+258= 3257). I’ve recommended ecost since they are the only store (that I know of) that ships to Canada from USA.

Thanks for info about eCost. Sony Stlye Canada has new prices for the TR series. It started today. They don’t have the model you got.

You shouldn’t get the model I have. Get the TR5AP which costs the same as the TR3AP3 but has slightly better specs.
