Cant, I tried several times.

I did find something out. To switch the setting you need to use a pin…the switch isn’t a switch, the switch is the tiny hole…use a pin and slide it over…

Anyway, default setting 1 Sat, switch over (XT I think) i get 12. I am going to call belkin for a replacement.

Good news and bad news. I just downloaded the files, I’ll think I’ll delete them.

Nice to know about the switch. Don’t know if I’ll ever need to use it.

I’m sure you checked, but there are two updates on the Fortuna site. One for BT and one for USB units.

I did a memory dump first, it seems the firmware is newer on the site, yes I did use the BT version.

Belkin opens at 8am PST, on the phone with them now.

I find the Belkin software to be fairly usable however, I am curious how other compatible software compares. Has anyone tried other mapping software? Any favorites? Any ones your absolutely abhor?

I was playing around with the Emtac Navigator (Bluetooth) for Palm (with my Clie) and its included software (Mapopolis).  It has now gone the way of Ebay.  I replaced the unit with one from Navman with Smart ST Professional software which works much better than the Emtac setup.  The BT connection is better, GPS satellite reception is better and the driving views and voice directions are better (all on a little Clie).  I know this is a little off the thread but the software might be usable and or available for computers as well as PDAs.

The ones I looked at the ends are different. I’ll take a pic of mine tomorrow and send it so you can see.
