Call belkin and ask when the antenna will be back in stock…if they say more then 2 weeks i’d order the GPS seperately, you dont want to miss out on that.

Regardless of how reliable you consider a bluetooth connection vs a device installed in the PCMCIA port…
You’re discussing a GPS, the device must see the sky. So unless you plan on sitting the TR on the dashboard, the rear deck or holding it out the window, you’ll need to either remote the GPS or provide a remote antenna.
BTW, I’ve found BT to be very reliable.
Yeah, thats what I said which was why I thought the BT would be better because it was away from the PC.
Also why I got the remote antenna, I can leave the GPS in the glove-box.
Erik
how are you going to install the remote antenna on your car? probably step by step tutorial like groovyone always does will help…

I am going to hard-wire the power to the GPS module and place it in my glove box. I will run the extra antenna to the center of my dash…pretty easy install, not much to write up, but when I do it, I will.

Yeah and the 12345 has been around since…well, prob. the day they created the site, lol.
You can order both parts and both codes work. If the antenna is out of stock, you can see if it will take the order. Shipping will still be calculated on the basic order and when the antenna shows up, they’ll ship it. Worth a try.
Tell me it’s not you selling the code on eBay, linc…

how did you find the coupon? and 12345 is for 50% off?
the GPS coupon, does it apply to other products?
The GPS coupon doesnt seem to work with anything else, but they have a ton of products, so who knows. The 12345 works on everything that is not a refurb. You can use both coupons in the same order. Place both items in cart, use GPS coupon, then 12345.

can’t add the antenna (no button or link to add them) since it’s out of stock…
i will check everyday to see. when it shows up, i’ll buy right away. i don’t use GPS now, but it might come in handy later on
the reason i ask about PC card GPS system is that when you want to be portable (not in the car), you don’t have to carry two devices (well, you can put the belkin GPS in your pocket or bag or whereever) but it defeats its purpose, u know, having to bring two things. the TR and the GPS have to be together, if u forget one, u can’t use the other.
and also, nowadays u can see that lots of companies come out with PC card solution, like vodafone in UK, if i m not mistaken, selling GPRS PC card so people don’t have to actually use their cellular phone for internet.
linc, how much did u sell it for? after ebay fees, etc, how much did u make? $1? $5? $10?
