At first I was going to do a fresh install of XP but i dont want to pay for a new copy of XP so what is the difference between a fresh install and sony preset install?

Does it run any faster if you do a fresh install?

Does it run just as good with Sony’s?

What if i uninstall most of the programs i wouldnt use like Works?

What about over time?

Is it good not to install much?

It depends on how picky you are.

The Sony factory install is the simplest route. You can uninstall the things you don’t use and it may not be quite as clean as a fresh install, but it will probably not make a big difference.

I spent 3 days getting Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition running on my TR2 and enjoyed the challenge. But it was quite a pain to get everything working.

If you don’t have a copy of XP to work with, I would doubt it is worth the money and time to buy one and do a fresh install.

How’s the speed of win server 03 running on TR(while working/starting/overall)?
is it quieit the same as win xp pro?
