Is there any software that works with the tr’s wifi that can show a good signal stregth/quality meter? The little connection status thing built into windows just doesnt cut it for me.

The thread TS pointed to got me interested. I have a centrino sticker on my TR3 and a quick check determined that I have the Intel Pro/wireless 2200/bg. PROSet is available for this chip. Quite right, but when you go to http://netstumbler.com/ and link to the netsumbler home page, it shows as being .net.  go figure…

Netstumbler’s great! best wi-fi detector / signal strength meter available.

Especially good at refreshing your cards status, ie can resets the card to listen to all frequencies for access points rather than locking on to one channel as some cards do if you’ve already made a wireless connection.
