I know Tr5 can burn dvd but is that all? Im thinking of ordering this next month ( I give myself a month to know the good and the bad of Tr before ordering it. ) But Tr3 has longer battery than Tr5, so I really don’t know. sigh…help!
earlier Sony used to claim 7 hrs of battery life for the TR…now they’ve made it slightly more realistic of upto 5.5 hrs (and in some of the descriptions they have still left it as 7 hrs) but dont expect more than 4 hrs under normal usage. You could get around 6.5-7 hrs with the extended battery.
thats interesting…if it’s true that the tr5 has less battery life maybe it’s due to another bit of trivia not mentioned: it’s got a more powerful processor, but just a bit. that alone might be worth getting the Tr5, as every little bits got to help the doggie nature of the TR under stress.
It has been mentioned that the increase in clock speed will only give you about a 3% increase in performance. I would imagine that the extra battery consumption would be even less than that since there is more than just the CPU drawing power from the battery.
[quote author=“Mark”]The Inquirer is reporting that the 1GHz Ultra-low Voltage Pentium M will be discontinued on November 19. I assume this means the TR3’s will go too.
Always a new generation of chips, but the article says they’ll still be shipping for a while.
Anyone know off-hand the time frame from TR1 through TR5? Did technology outpace development for a TR4 series?
666 is just Christian (mark of the beas from Revelation). 13 has been considered unlucky in the West since at least the time of ancient Babylon. 12 is a number of plenty because all its factors added together equals more than the original number. It comes up a lot in the Bible for this reason (12 tribes of Israel, 12 disciples, etc). Add 1 to 12 and you get a prime number, so it’s not divisible neatly into halves, thirds, quarters or what have you, so everyone avoided 13 because it was hard to work with… Except for bakers, but they’ve never been known for their numeric prowess.
40’s also a number of plenty, which explains the 40 years of wandering, 40 days in the desert and rain for 40 days and nights references in the Bible.
No, I’m not into numerology. My father’s a college mathematics professor. :|
