I have a hard time with NFS Hot Pursuit II, let alone a robust game like Doom 3. The next two future TR’s will more than likely not be able to play that game.

 NFS is my favorite series ever…
As much as I like Doom, I had more fun playing Duke 3D…and I hated Quake for some reason, always thought Doom was more interesting.
Yeah, even the next gen chipset with GMA won’t support Doom 3 since it doesn’t have T&L again.
That’s one reason why the Type S is compelling…if you play games. The Type S will play Doom 3 and my buddy who received his fully decked out Type S says it plays World of Warcraft with everything turned on…at 1280x800. That’s impressive!

We only had a 10-year wait for Doom 3. I wonder how long it’s eventually going to be for Duke Forever. I’m starting to think that it’s just an enormous practical joke by George Broussard.
I liked the original Quake, especially the Action Quake mod, but the sequels got progressively worse until Unreal Tournament rocked my world.

I still think playing on a dedicated gaming rig with a top rated video card is the way to go.
I just built a budjeted gaiming pc to run the lastest games. Which was with a ATI 9800 pro. With this video card alone I would say would be the miniuim to run on these new generation games. I still won’t be able to turn everything up….
I love my TR as I expressed to before. I would never buy a ultra-subnotebook or a notebook period for gaming.
I would rather buy a shuttle and stick a x800 pro in it and care my LCD screen with me…
