I was initially “flying like a kite” when this gadget came out.  However, there are just a few things missing that will keep me using the TR a little longer:

- No Bluetooth
- Japan only (I don’t like import conversions)
- Horrible battery life

This effort by Sony is very encouraging.  I am really excited about what will be available in the years to come.  The TR is about as big a gadget as I would want, but so far it does the job well.

The main things that he complained about are the small screen and battery life. It happens that those two things are the most important things for me in a laptop. The U70 just isn’t too practical for my purpose, especially taking its price into consideration. Nevertheless, it is a very high tech and cool gadget.

The screen doesn’t bother me at all.  I can easily use a larger LCD when at home or the office.  So I would only use the tiny screen for about 2-3 hours per day, which is a lot for some, but managable for me.

Bottom line:  If they brought this gadget to the States, I would get it.  The lack of BT and poor battery life are not enough to deter me, but the japanese hyroglyphics and driver issues I have heard of when switching to English mode are more that I want to deal with for spending close to $3,000.

SONY!!!!  BRING IT TO THE STATES!!!!!!!!!
