Actually, I’ve never seen that one before. I was waiting for a 1 GB version and now I see that too… how cool!
Having read around a bit in the last few minutes, I assume the difference between the old ones and the new ones is the read/write speed. Did I get that right? Or are there other differences? I also see that some are PRO and some are not, but I don’t really know what those terms mean—or do I not need any of those if I’m simply using it for my T1?
So what are the numbers I should be looking for to distinguish between the old and new Memory Sticks? I also saw that the big non-Duo Memory Sticks have a faster read/write speed, claims of 20 MB/sec being made…
They make a 2GB unit too. Wider temperature operating range and lifetime warantee. Quite a bit pricier.
This is the one you’re talking about. Note the caveat, don’t know when Sony added the “PRO”, sounds like MSII to me:

From the site: “Note: Memory Stick PRO is only compatible to Memory Stick PRO enabled devices. Please check the Product Compatibility page for these specific Memory Stick PRO enabled devices.”
