I thought Drachen would find this funny.  I’m sure Microsoft is really scared.

Considering it’s a free product all around, 1% is hardly something for MS to worry about, but it is rather interesting to note. Thanks for the article.

Microsoft is already on it. A few weeks ago, they mentioned that a new team had been put on a new version of Internet Explorer. Perhaps it’s a brand new version from the ground up (unlikely) but it should support standards a lot better. I think there’s less point of adding all sorts of crazy proprietary stuff nowadays considering how powerful the standards have become. With DHMTL, XHTML, CSS, Javascript, etc., we no longer need all those proprietary tags that used to cloud the market.

I mentioned Drachen because he and I had a discussion about the browser alternatives causing (forcing) IE to develope and become more of what we want.  That looks to be the case.

Its just weird when you talk about something and then you see an article on that very topic.

i dont know if this is true, but i heard on AM talk radio (think it was the KFI John and Ken Bozo show) that the dept. of homeland security has advised NOT using IE. it could let the terrorists in.

i went to Opera two weeks ago, evaulated Firefox first - nice - and it would take a completly new version to ever get me back, if that, i just hate MS, not sure where that comes from…

also, is it true that the security holes are in ActiveX, and the only reason these other browsers don’t have these holes is because they dont support it? that was also on am talk radio…

Yep, I did it again.  I have been busier than ever with work.  Summertime gets crasy down hear in South Florida for Real Estate!  Everyone wants to buy/sell before the next school year so their kids are not interrupted in the middle of the school year.

I’m sure the Fed raising the prime rate kicked the market up a bit too.

Yeah, it put a slight panic into buyers.  Many of them are locking their rates in now before any would-be increases.  The only prob with that is that the buyers are putting themselves in a “must buy” situation.  The sellers market here is strong enough.  The buyers are potentially putting themselves in a corner.

I benefit big time no matter what the outcome, but it helps when my clients are happy with their sale/purchase.  Referrals are the lifeblood of my business.
