This site along with its parent, Siliconpopculture.com, will be down this weekend. This will start tonight (July 2nd) roughly at 8pm PST (or -8 GMT). I will lock down the databases and put up a maintenance page to let you know that the change is taking place.

Assuming that there are no problems I will then switch over the DNS and the propagation could take as long as 24-72 hours to fully take effect. In most cases, it’s generally 24-48 hours but I’ve seen it take longer in some cases.

In the meantime, you can check http://sonytr.blogspot.com/ for any updates regarding the site.  I will post there if there’s any problems…i.e. if I have to scrap the move for some unforeseen reason.

I will also be sending out an e-mail announcement for this shortly. Just in case any of you miss this or lose the update address.
