New TR3 - All Issues Resolved

Hi All!

This is the first message posted with my TR3!

I reinstalled everything from ground up using XP Pro, all issues resolved.

Here are some tips for future reference:

1. I bought a TR3 Australian Version, there is only one flavour in Australia, 758MB, CDRW, 1GHz, XP Home

2. The unit came with 3 Vaio Recovery CDs, the third CD contained all the drivers and applications.  I didn’t take a back up, just assumed everything was included in the CDs.  So the instructions were a lil wack, but all the drivers were infact on those disks, all you needed to do is to get the wizard to search the CD Rom for drivers.

3. My netgear 814 router didn’t go well with TR3, so I search the forum and someone mentioned about upgrading the router, I got firmware 5.03, which is to address centrino based notebooks, and everything worked so well after that.

I am now going to do some wall papers for us all, I will post them up on my page, keep posted!

I also want to install RedHat on it, might be a lil fun.

I had it for two days, and made two wallpapers, i will upload it up tonight

TR3 is awsome, my gf has a Toshiba M100, but the DVD screen is no bigger than mine smile))) and mine is much lighter smile)))

I am trying to be an Software Architect, so I am across the full SDLC on a huge project, and likes graphics desgin, so do that a bit at home.

Congrats on ur purchase of the TR.
