oh mygosh, there are so many to choose from! i amgetting ready for my yearly LA sopping trip and could use some help choosing, as i don’t know all these acronyms, like the dif between ide and eide for example. no, i dont want to know! but i do know that i have two portable 40gig usb drives, one portable/battery powered/smartcard-slotted, and one older Que! usb 40gb thats in a really nice enclosure.
it’s not enough, so this summer i want to upgrade and i though maybe i could just put a new larger drive in the slick looking Que! enclosure (this drive has been one of most RELIABLE bits of hardware i’ve bought in the past 2 years) or perhaps get an even cooler encloser that matches the looks of the TR and the rest of my desktop, and stuff a HUGE drive in there so i never have to worry about disk space again.
can i ask u harddrive gurus out there to come up with the best solution for me? can i get a supergig drive enclosure w/drive that looks grand for less than 200$? please post links…thanks so much - u are the best :wink:
oh, and while i am here, i also want to bring back a DVD burner. what about this one:
this needs an enclosure no? can u put these things in USB enclosures? what the hey?!? can iput my dog in an enclosure and use the PC to control his barking, maybe convert his barks into english and sync with my ipod? hey, i just woke up and have not had coffee yet so not really thinking clearly…
