I currently have a C1MZX and am seriously considering switching to the TR2.  Has anyone used both of these machines and have an opinion either way?  I know the TR2 is slightly bigger/heavier, but seems much better with built-in CD/DVD, better screen, faster processor (?), and a touchpad rather than stick.

Also, does anyone know of a retailer for the latest TR2’s in the UK?  Or someone that will ship the US models to the UK?  I’ve seen places that will ship the Japanese models worldwide, but I’d rather have an english model.

I owned a c1xd before changing to a tr1mp

the tr is considerably larger than the c1 but not that much heavier. I still miss my C1’s form factor…........
processor - I owned a 1ghz tablet pc with the crusoe and it’s DOG SLOW compared to this baby
memory - 384MB max on the c1mzx….is that enough?
Screen - beautiful tr1 screen - no comparison
think about this: how much do you actually use your DVD/CDRW?

on balance, ditch the C1 and go for the tr

Thanks for the reply - actually I already have… bought the TR2AP3 and absolutely love it.  Got it from pcconnection and had it shipped to the UK - arrived in two days and I didn’t even get charged customs.  :D   C1MZX going up on auction in the next few days - it was a great machine but a bit impractical for anything serious.
