I received my TR5 yesterday with 2 recovery DVD’s and decided to get rid of the crap and done a new installation of Windows XP, all drivers and everything are ok apart from the bluetooth one but this I think is available from one of Microsofts updates.  All drivers and utilities can be downloaded from vaio-link.  One thing I cannot do is install the apps that came with it factory installed, I think that it recognises that the machine has not got the factory installation and therefore you cannot install any apps, is there a work around anyone knows of?  I may just have to reinstall the original recovery Softwares and unistall what i dont need, what a pain in the arse.
