Well, i knew it was only a matter of time but it came a little sooner than I planned (which is sort of a good thing). Basically, this site has outgrown its server and I’ve exceeded the bandwidth of current server. Don’t worry the site won’t go down…I’ll just get charged for the overages. The silver lining in all of this is that this site is getting more popular and we’re getting a lot more traffic.

So, I do have another server lined up already and I’ll be doing the painful move to that server in the next couple of weeks. In the meantime, there may be some downtime on the day of the actual switch. It normally takes 48 hours after the change but I just wanted you guys to know ahead of time so you don’t freak out if the site is down for a day.

I will notify everyone again here and via a mass e-mail to let you know when I make the change. I hope you all don’t mind the mass e-mail…I hate to spam but I rarely do it and I want to keep those who might not see this to be informed.

Also, don’t forget that you can help this site simply by clicking on the ads at the bottom of the pages. You’d be surprised that one simple click per visit helps a lot. If you’re a frequent visitor then it really helps a lot.

Lastly, I have actually secured by first batch of giveaways for this site. Once I’ve actually received the items I will come up with a fair way to give them away. Don’t worry, it won’t be a contest but rather a random e-mail drawing. Given that there’s only 529 people so far, everyone has a pretty good chance. As the site grows, I hope to have more of these giveaways. More info on this coming soon…but probably after the server move.
