I just ordered my TR5mp from Ebuyer today and am considering cancelling it because im not sure if I can play videos via the TR on my TV via S-video or any other connections.  I know it comes with a VGA connector but can this hook up to a TV and if so how?  Also does anyone think that I should get rid of my 1 month old GRT896SP and just keep the TR or shall I keep both, I feel guilty keeping both and this decision has been driving me crazy.  Any input would be greatly appreciated.

No way to output to a TV (unless it has monior input) without extra hardware but there are plenty of options. Search for TV on this site.

I have used a TViewXGA before which was good but there are more modern equivalents.

why would you need both? if you can justify it and got the money then why not?

note: this device is ntsc only and not PAL.

does anyone know if this even matters these days?  are not all TVs sold today, all those chinese boxes, multisync and autosensing or are they still pumping out straight PAL tvs?
