from the spec, no bluetooth, no 64 mb video ram, no dvd-rw, and 512 mb ram is in 2 pieces (to upgrade to 1 GB, u have to buy a whole new set of ram) unlike the one they have in japan, but it’s newer dothan processor. good side is the price.  it’s ~$2000, so not that bad.  i guess if sony want to add bluetooth and 64 mb video ram in the future, probably it will bump it to couple more hundred, add dvd-rw, u r looking for ~$2500ish, in my opinion

Grrr….those bastards…I think people would be willing to pay more for another configuration that’s maxed out. I may just import one this time so I can get the super tweaked system the way I want it.

so r u buying one ?  if so, new forum then ?  if someone buy the jdm version and can succesfully convert it to english xp pro, i’ll buy it, but if not, i’ll guess i’ll just have to wait for usdm version… :D

It’s certainly a possibility. It won’t be anytime soon though…September/October at the earliest. I have to adhere to my self-imposed rule of at least using a notebook for one year before upgrading.

The specs from the pdf look weak. :shock: I hope they will offer better options under a custom configuration. A better video card and CPU is on my list…
