Most “real” portable notebooks are non-upgradeable and subnotebooks are even more non-upgradeable.
You can’t change the processor nor can you “upgrade” the video chipset. The video chipset is integrated so you’re stuck with what it comes with. The CPU and its cooling were specifically designed for each other. Even if you could upgrade the CPU (which you can’t) then you would need a brand new cooling system and these are custom designed so it’s not like you can find a better heatsink/heatpipe/fan unit.
So, yes. You are dreaming.
For the most part, you can’t think of real notebook computers the same way you think about desktop comupters. The new desktop replacement notebooks are a little more flexible in this regard but those aren’t true mobile notebooks. Also, too much of a modular design in subnotebooks would force too many design compromises and less unique designs.
