Hello everyone, this is my first post!  :D

I am heading to Singapore shortly and I was wondering which TR model will be available to me.  In particular, is bluetooth standard as in japan?  thanks in advance for helping a newbie.

The TR series in Singapore doesn’t have BT built in. In fact even the XP is a home edition.  Almost all places(in SG) are retailing it at SGD$3799(tax inclusive) The specs are available  

i got this model, not bad, it was an emergency as my tr1 hard drive blew up in everest recently and i had to do something….the model is pcg-4a1p says tr3 on the front. i paid 170,000 |nrs.  ke garne.

hmm i am also looking at the TR3 in Singapore, it just came out, sad to hear that japan is already on TR 5! Haiz at the end of the day not sure if it is worth paying SOOOO much for it S$3799 = US$2274

Well you must remember that yours is delivered allll the way to NEPAL!!!

Anyway i am thinking on getting the TR 3 being offered last piece at S$3350 = US$2005

there ya go, 2005 sounds fair! we have to pay high import duty into nepal on consumer electronics like laptops too, unless it comes from china!

NOt meant as an insult but i am truly amazed that you can get a Sony TR even at Mt everest!  :shock:

well u can get them in kathmandu at digitek in durbar marg and then DRIVE the sony to mt. everest base camp with the himalayen royal enfileders club, like i do.  next tour starts in september, contact binod chetri and mention my name for a whopping discount! pics were all lost due to hard drive crash at base camp, but here is a link to pics of another fun ride:

Driving me nuts should i get the T41 or the TR3 zzzzzzzzzz :|
