Is it possible to make the screen expand in proportion? For example when you view a 1024x768 screen, the image is full vertical, with black bars left and right.

800x600 and lower has black bars all around..

Now is it possible to expand the screen in proportion, with out getting the stretched widescreen effect? (best not watch any J-lo at that format..)

I assume the answer is no, just wonderd if it were actually possible.
