The Sony TR1 has a Ricoh RL5C475 Cardbus-to-PCI chipset. If you look up the chipset specifications then you’ll see that it does support Zoomed Video. However, it needs to be enabled. Chances are that it is enabled. I don’t see why it wouldn’t be.
If you’re wondering what exactly Zoomed Video is…it basically allows a Cardbus device to write data directly to the VGA controller. Normally it would need to go through the system bus which could cause buffering problems and offers higher performance.
